The development of society accompanied by a lot of energy consumption,but the existing energy structure can not meet people's growing demand for energy.So the energy problem has gradually become an important factor restricting social development.As one of the main means of wind energy utilization,wind turbine's development and research has earned very wide range of concerns.In this paper,CFD is used and the dynamic characteristics of drag-type vertical axis wind turbine are calculated by using FLUENT.Sliding mesh technology and PISO algorithm method are used in the whole simulation calculation.The mainly work as follow:1)According to the working mode of the 5-blade drag-type vertical axis wind turbine and the characteristics of the fluid,the appropriate numerical simulation method is selected.Studied the influence of wind speed and rotational speed on the size of the calculation area by analyzing and calculating the simulation results.2)Calculate and get the relationship between the calculation area,the wind power and the energy utilization rate of the 5-blade drag-type vertical axis wind turbine under different wind speeds.Study the influence of wind speed,rotational speed on wind turbine's power and energy utilization rate.3)Compare and analyze the wind turbine's performance of 4-blade,5-blade and 6-blade drag-type vertical axis wind turbine by using the comprehensive calculation method,the orthogonal test method and the uniform design method.
