Since the late 1950s,the moon has been the world's deep space exploration hotspot.China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation(CASC)launched the lunar exploration project which was named "Chang'e project" in 2004.The complex engineering of the spacecraft leads to high cost and long cycle in the physical test.Thus the use of spacecraft simulation technology is necessary in the lunar exploration.In order to guarantee the development of lunar probe,this paper designs and realizes the 3D Visualized Simulation System of Lunar Exploration.The simulation system consists of three modules for the requirements of simulation and demonstration including effects simulation module,measure-control visualization module,lunar scene construction and rendering module.The effects simulation module is responsible for adding,changing,and rendering effects in real time.This module uses the particle system to provide users with a realistic jet flame effect.The measure-control visualization module is responsible for analyzing signal reception between the antenna and the ground tracking telemetry control(TTC)stations.This module not only provides a variety of visual means for measure-control analysis but also uses an efficient method based on camera imaging theory to determine whether the signal is mask by spacecraft.The lunar scene construction and rendering module is responsible for the construction of lunar terrain and scene rendering.In the lunar surface import submodule,it not only supports MESH format but also provides DEM format conversion and import functions.In addition,an improved shadow rendering algorithm based on Shadow Mapping is used in the rendering of lunar scenes.
