The amount and swirl intensity of air,which enters the cylinder of a diesel engine in the intake process,have great influence on the performance fuel economy and exhaust emission of the diesel engine.The flow field in the cylinder was affected by the air flow condition in the intake port so the design of intake port is very important.According to port develop concept,we use Creo Parametric to establish 3D model,use CFD software to evaluate it and have a optimal design,and then we print the intake port box.After port development,we manufacture cylinder head prototype.Through the engine performance development,we completed the development of intake port which satisfied the request of the 12M33 diesel engine.By this project,we optimize the procedure of port development and accomplish the port design standard.we improve the accuracy of CFD simulation by comparing simulation result with bench flow test result.Finally the intake port fulfill the engine performance request and we accumulate experience of V type and large volume engine port design and development.
