Slope stability is always an important issue in geotechnical engineering,with the development of urban construction,road construction,mining and so on,it is becoming more and more important in the field of geotechnical engineering,becoming a big problem to be solved.Therefore,it can provide theoretical basis for the design,planning and construction of geotechnical engineering practice to study the movement law,stability analysis method and criterion of rock slope.It's based on the discrete element strength reduction method,the stability analysis of the cutting slope of the Wuyu town expressway in section K23+780 ~K23+950 is carried out by using the three-dimensional discrete element software3 DEC,this slope belongs to high steep bedding rock slope.Because of the existence of the weak sericite mica layer in the rock slope,and the large scale disturbance,the construction factor and the rainfall,the rock mass of the slope has a wide range of collapse,landslide can threaten the safety of life and property of downstream residents.Therefore,the study of the stability of the slope will be of great significance for landslide control,road safety and maintenance.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)Study on engineering geology of slope of highway excavation section.In this paper,the slope rock mass of the excavation section of the expressway is taken as the object,the formation lithology,rock weathering degree,hydrogeological conditions,fault distribution characteristics,site stability and so on were investigated to provide the basis for the establishment of calculation model;(2)Determination of physical and mechanical parameters of slope rock mass and lithology Division.Stratigraphic lithology is divided by the the engineering geological investigation;The physical and mechanical parameters of rock mass are determined according to the degree of rock weathering,the condition of groundwater,the three axis test and direct shear test;(3)Bulid three-dimensional geological model and calculation model of slope.Based on the field investigation and geological survey data,the 3D geological model of rock slope is established by using the 3D geological modeling software RockModeldeveloped by the project team,then meshing and programming interface,finally leading-in 3DEC to form the computational model.(4)Stability analysis of high and steep bedding rock slope.Based on the strength reduction method,the safety factor of the slope is calculated by using the three-dimensional discrete element numerical simulation software 3DEC,and combining the displacement nephogram to analyze the stability of the slope.In this paper,the criterion for judging the instability of the slope is the displacement mutation criterion,This method is based on the abrupt change of the curve of the displacement and the reduction factor of the landslide,and it is more consistent with the slope failure mechanism.
