With the shortage of petroleum resources,microcellular injection molding are activating the research interests for the purpose of economizing on raw materials and reducing consumption.Due to the shin-core structure and dimensional stability,Microcellular injection product has been widely used in automotive,biomedical and aerospace fields.It has broad market prospects that the application of microcellular injection molding in automobile industry.The runner system of automobile central passageway is optimized by using software moldflow.The flow stage of microcellular injection molding is taken to simulate.This article mainly includes:(1)Automobile central passageway is used as the model,and grids are meshed and repaired.According to parts structure and the design principle of runner system,two kinds of runner systems are established.Then,comparing two kinds of runner system,simulation results about pressure at injection location,pressure at V/P switchover,pressure at the end of fill,warpage are shown by using GF-PP as raw materials,the runner system of nine location gates is adopted.(2)According to the test matrix,the effect of process parameters on cell radius and warpage has been researched.By using range analysis and variance analysis,The optimal process parameters are determined.This is mold temperature 40 ?,melt temperature 260 ?,flow rate 380 cm3/s,weight reduction 2%.And the accuracy of the optimized processing parameters is verified.(3)Based on the optimal process parameters,the influence of microcellular injection molding and conventional injection molding are studied by using single factor method.With single factor method,effects of processing parameters on warpage,volumetric shrinkage,sink mark index are discussed.The experimental results show that the microcellular injection molding technology can obviously improve the dimensional stabilities such as warpage,volumetric shrinkage,however,the microcellular injection molding is not good for the surface quality of automobile central passageway.
