In the traffic accident,the coach rollover caused a huge roll of casualties and economic losses,in which mass injuries and death occured frequently.Therefore,it is very urgent to design and manufacture coaches which can protect passengers in rollover accident,and it is of great significance to study the safety of coach rollover.By using the method of finite element analysis to simulate the coach rollover process,people can greatly reduce the R & D cost of the vehicle and shorten the development cycle.Due to the number of bus data and body frame beams are numerous,it takes a lot of time to manually repeat the operation on finite element modeling,simulation and analysis stage,and very easy to go wrong.In order to improve the efficiency of coach rollover FE modeling analysis,to ensure the accuracy of the operation of each part,to reduce the workload of CAE analysts and to simplify the modeling process to achieve its process automation,this paper develops a fast FE modeling system of coach rollover based on Hyper Mesh platform.The main research contents are as follows:The current method of FE modeling of coach rollover is analyzed,and the design and development of rapid FE modeling system for coach rollover are carried out to realize the procedural,automatic and standard.In this paper,we develop some function that includes automatically organizing component,reading the BOM and assigning material properties,automatically measuring the thickness of the components,adding mass quickly,automatically generating FE model of adhesive glass,automatic generating FE model of tire,which is cumbersome to repeat the operation process.For the defects of time-wasting and error-prone on the traditional beam joint treatment,this paper puts forward the method of Tied connection in the simulation of the coach rollover.Based on the study of rollover regulations,this paper develops the function of generating FE model of safety space,floor and rollover platform,and develops and integrates the system operation interface.In the analysis,this paper develops the function of setting parameters quickly and automatically calling LS-DYNA software.In the post-processing part,this paper studies and develops the function of creating rollover report with HTML language,including the capture of the result image and the calculate of the invasion for spanning space.At the same time,the existing engineering experience is cured to the operating system,which realizes the procedural,automatic and standard of FE modeling of coach rollover.In order to verify the accuracy and validity of the fast FE modeling system for coach rollover developed in this paper,taking a coach as an example,the author used this system to make an operation on modeling analysis on coach rollover.Through the comparison with the current analysis method,the operation of this system on the coach rollover modeling analysis can ensure high accuracy,reduce the useless repetitive operations and save plenty of time,which proved the feasibility of this system.The development of the fast FE modeling system for coach rollover greatly improves the efficiency of coach rollover FE modeling.By using automated instead of manual repetition operation program and using system integration interface,the CAE analysis work will be more convenient,rapid and standardized for people.
