The vertical anchor slab structure is widely used in port engineering, road retaining engineering. And horizontal pullout bearing capacity of the vertical anchor plate is to balance the soil pressure acting on the retaining structure, so as to maintain the stability of the soil.The anchor plate structure is not a new concept, but the anchor plate has a lot of advantages such as low cost, simple form, and Strong adaptability, which make it easy to combine with other retaining structures to produce new forms of supporting structures. No matter what kind of combination, in the design process of this kind of retaining structure,the horizontal bearing capacity of the anchor plate is an important index to be clear. Up to now, horizontal bearing mechanism of the vertical anchor plate is not clear enough in standard for shallow and deep burial, symmetry of mechanical model etc. The vertical strip anchor plate tensile capacity is the foundation of other shapes, so the study of tensile bearing capacity and failure mechanism of anchor vertical strip plate has important theoretical significance and engineering value.In this paper, the model test and numerical simulation are carried out to study the horizontal bearing capacity and the failure characteristics of the soil in front of the vertical strip anchor plate in the dense sand. The model test part, the test device and test method are introduced firstly, and then The physical properties of the standard sand used in the model test are tested. On this basis, a series of model tests are carried out on the horizontal drawing of vertical strip anchor plates in sand(relative density of Dr=50%, the density of=1.513g/cm3), the different depth of embedment of anchor plate 14 (H/h=2-15) is considered, the bearing capacity characteristics of vertical strip anchor plate in medium dense sand are analyzed. Finally, the application of image analysis software PhotoInfor and result post-processing software PostViewer to acquire in the course of drawing of digital image processing, will anchor plate deformation of the surrounding field and displacement field of intuitive reflected.Through a series of model tests, With the increase of depth ratio,the failure mode of the soil in front of the plate presents the law of the transformation from asymmetric failure to symmetrical failure. The numerical simulation part, Abaqus was used to simulate the horizontal tension of vertical anchor plate. The simulation results are analyzed, when the ultimate bearing capacity is reached, there is an obvious elastic triangle in front of the anchor plate, on the base angle increases with the increase of buried depth,under the base angle decreases with increasing buried depth ratio.Based on the model test and finite element analysis, assumed that the shape of the failure line in front of the vertical strip anchor plate: There is a elastic triangular area in front of the anchor plate, and the soil in front of the anchor plate is sliding out of the logarithmic spiral line with the upper and lower edges of the triangle area as the initial radius. On the corner of elastic triangle does not specify a particular value, only a given range,by the limit equilibrium equation solution. The extension length of the upper soil slip line in the elastic triangle area is affected by the buried depth ratio, the underside one is limited by the below corner. Then, on the basis of this, the limit equilibrium equation is established, and the theoretical formula for calculating the horizontal bearing capacity of the vertical strip anchor plate is derived. Finally, the theoretical model of this paper is used to calculate the model test case, and the calculated slip angle of the rigid triangular zone is in good agreement with the experimental value. Application of the calculation method of theoretical formula and the other 3 are respectively on the vertical strip anchor plate ultimate bearing capacity calculation of 5 test cases, comparison analysis and calculation results show that this method of this paper is suitable for calculation of the vertical anchor plates in sand, and compared with the other 3 method has certain superiority.
