Brushless Electrically Excited Synchronous Machine(BEESM)is a new type of Electrically Excited Synchronous Machine,which brush and slip ring are canceled.BEESM have the advantage of simple structure,safe and reliable operation,adjustable power factor and so on.There are two set of different pole pairs winding in stator called armature winding and field winding respectively;there are two types of traditional rotor,such as cage rotor and reluctance rotor.But the coupling capability of traditional rotor is poor.So the paper presents a new hybrid rotor with powerful coupling capability,which is composed of magnetic barrier rotor and cage rotor.BEESM have two difficult problems,the parameters of BEESM difficult to calculate currently and lack of mathematical model for simulation.These problems above mentioned are studied in thesis.(1)In order to analyze the basic electromagnetic relation and operating mechanism of BEESM,the mathematic models of BEESM with hybrid rotor have been established based on the traditional analysis method.The equivalent circuit,torque formula and Electromagnetic power formula have also been put forward.(2)For the research of coupling ability of BEESM with hybrid rotor,field modulation principle of hybrid rotor is studied.The inductance parameter model of BEESM with hybrid rotor is established by combining the superposition method and the winding function method.The analytical calculation method of inductance parameters of BEESM with hybrid rotor is studied.The variation of inductance parameters with the rotor position is obtained by programming calculation(3)In order to study the operating characteristics of BEESM under different operation modes,the mathematical model of BEESM with hybrid rotor is deduced in the abc and d-q coordinate respectively.According to constraint conditions of terminal voltage under different operating modes,the different operating characteristics of BEESM with hybrid rotor are simulated such as motor operation with asynchronous starting,pulling into synchronism and synchronous with sudden load,and generator operation with no-loads characteristic,short circuit characteristic,external characteristic and Adjustment characteristics.(4)For verify the calculation and simulation results of BEESM with hybrid rotor,the experimental study is carried out on the prototype.In order to verify the validity of inductance parameter calculation,the inductance parameter of prototype are measured by static test method.The motor and generator operation modes of prototype are carried on the experiment research.The correctness of research method are verified.
