High voltage parallel capacitor group often have an accident in years,from time to time there will be a big accident that blasting of high voltage parallel capacitor group cause great losses,also make affection to the safety and stabllity operation of the power system and the personnel safety of staff.Because of the fault type of high voltage parallel capacitor devices is different,also the lack of effective monitoring devices of high voltage parallel capacitor for High voltage parallel capacitor group in 500 kV station and the first-hand information from the malfunction of high voltage parallel capacitor,so it is difficult to accurately find the reason of the problem and make improvement according to the scene of accident.35 kV capacitor group in 500 kV s ubstations is composed of many sets of series parallel capacitor,usually can't suddenly cause damage accident.O nline monitoring the current and voltage of capacitor group,discovering possible hidden trouble in time,recording and reporting to the police is important.It is conveniently to discover capacitor defect,avoiding long time running with bug,facilitating the transmission of data and waveform,directly finding out capacitor failure,providing clear guidelines for the maintenance of capacitor operation.To achieve this purpose,this paper make research about developed a set of photoelectric device that monitoring the status of high voltage parallel capacitor group.First of all,this paper will make research about running station and Detection means of high voltage shunt capacitor to provide the monitoring device about Fault prevention,fault control and feedback after fault of high voltage parallel capacitor group.Secondly,analys ing the main factors from closing,opening and running leading to capacitor failure,drawing the conclus ion: inrush current and over voltage and other factors causing the trouble during the station of closing and opening;voltage,harmonics and other factors cause the fault during the station of running.Then,this paper will introduce the hardware and software design of the monitoring device,the hardware mainly includes data acquisit ion and transmission system and high voltage power supply system,which is one of the difficult ies in this paper.Finally this paper will draw the conclusion by analys is the result from the theoretical model tests,also contrasting the test result wit h actual data from the running high voltage parallel capacitor group.Further more,this paper will put forward effective improvement measures in order to improve the safety factor of the power equipment and the stable operation of the power system.
