With the rapid development of economic,the Chinese transportation industry has also been rapid developing,the application of curved bridge in practical engineering is much more than ever before.In the western mountainous area,due to the limitations of the terrain,the advantages of high-pier curved continuous rigid frame bridge make it to show its talents.Because of the characteristics of high piers,curves and continuous rigid frame,it is very important to analyze the stability of the curved continuous rigid frame bridge with high piers.A curved continuous rigid frame bridge with high piers as the engineering background,the finite element models in three stages were established.Linear stability and nonlinear stability considering the geometric nonlinear effect were analyzed,and the change rule of the structural stability had been strived to get for designers and constructors to reference.The main researched work was summarized as follows:(1)The development and structure characteristics of curve continuous rigid frame bridge with high piers were introduced,and the present situation of the research in the continuous rigid frame bridge were expounded.The two kinds of stability problems,the criteria of stability and the basic theory and method of geometrical nonlinear analysis were introduced in detail.(2)Based on the engineering example and the finite element program,the finite element models of the bridge were established using beam element.The stability of the 0 block stage,the maximum cantilever stage and the bridge completion stage were analyzed,and the stability safety factor and buckling mode of the structure at different stages and different working conditions were obtained.The influence of design parameters of bridge pier on the stability was analyzed by establish the finite element model,and the rule of bridge slenderness ratio and stability safety factor was summarized.The influence of the radius of curvature on the stability of the structure on the maximum cantilever stage and the bridge completion stage were analyzed.(3)Considering the maximum cantilever construction stage is more complex,the security is low,so analyzed the geometrical nonlinear stability of ideal condition;under initial material defect;initial geometric imperfections and different piers type,and the difference between linear stability and nonlinear stability analysis was compared.
