The ship target recognition technology based on High Range Resolution Profile(HRRP)is an important research direction in radar data processing.The problem of shift sensitivity,attitude sensitivity and amplitude sensitivity of ship targets based on HRRP are the technical difficulties in this field.The thesis focuses on how to improve ship target recognition accuracy based on HRRP and how to develop a practical platform for ship target recognition.The main work of this thesis is presented as follows:(1)This thesis introduces the research background and significance of ship target recognition technology,and introduces the research on the feature extraction,multi-feature fusion and classifier design of HRRP at home and abroad.(2)In this thesis,the data preprocessing technique of high range resolution profile is studied.Firstly,low pass filtering is performed on the original HRRP data to reduce sea clutter noise,and to improve the signal-to-noise ratio.Then,normalization is used to solve the issues of HRRP amplitude sensitivity.Finally,by estimating the position of prow and stern to extract the target region,the issue of HRRP shift sensitivity is solved.(3)In order to solve the problem of attitude sensitivity of HRRP,this thesis extracts a number of attitude-insensitive features for ship target recognition based on the traditional feature extraction method.And to improve the ship target recognition accuracy,an algorithm of feature weighting based on compactness is proposed,which reflects the weight difference of different features in ship target recognition.In addition,to select an optimal subset of features from the total feature sets,the traditional feature selection method based on Fisher criterion is improved,and a feature selection method based on feature complementarity is proposed,which makes use of complementary among features.And the experiment results show that the new selection method can recieve higher recognition accuracy with fewer features.(4)In order to simulate the ship target recognition process in the real scene as much as possible,a multi-functional platform was developed.The main functions of the platform include: track and HRRP data receiving or sending,real-time data display,imaging data processing,database storage and query,system setting and so on.
