Ac drive technology,with its excellent cost performance,has become the development direction of railway applications in China.As an integrated part of the design of ac drive system,test technology is one of the core technology of an enterprise.Therefore,a reciprocal power-fed ac drive test system was studied in this paper.Through study of international standards,national standards and industry standards related to ac drive system,test functions and methods of ac drive test system have been illustrated by combining with the actual application situation and development trend of China's rail transit field.The proposed reciprocal power-fed ac drive test system,based on a common DC power supply back-to-back test principle pursuant to IEC61377-1,realized several reciprocal power supply test principles such as intermediate power supply,25 kV AC power supply,traction transformer primary side power supply,three-phase powering from single phase feedback through test line conversion.This test system is suitable for the combined test of AC drive system(with 1:1 power ratio)and type test of main converter and traction motor of various types of electric locomotives,diesel locomotives,motor train units,mass transit vehicles,mine locomotives under different applications in China.Test capacities of full load continuous running and adjusting,step change of line voltage and short-time supply interruption under power supply ranging from single-phase 25kV AC,DC 600V,DC 750V,DC 1500V,DC 3000V have been successfully obtained with this test system.
