Intelligent Transportation System(Intelligent Transportation System)is the trend of the development of the traffic in our country in the future,traffic statistics and red light vehicle detection is an important part of Intelligent Transportation System,based on the traditional induction coil System need destruction has built the road,affect the service life of the road,and in recent years,more and more widely applied System based on virtual coil cannot for trajectory tracking of the vehicle,therefore,the purpose of this paper is to design a video based traffic and red light vehicle detection System,this System can accurately predict the vehicle position and draw the vehicle's trajectory,speed and vehicle detection System has good video processing accuracy.In this paper,the ground work has the following three aspects:1?Earlier stage work of vehicle detection is studied,including image smoothing,background modeling,target extraction and threshold segmentation several steps,and each step chosen algorithm simulation research and comparison of their processing speed and the actual effect,the final determination by median filter for image preprocessing,using the method of gaussian mixture background model,background difference method is adopted to improve the target extraction and the method of contrast between categories are threshold segmentation.2?After the selected algorithm,combining algorithm computation and the design of the system requirements needed to choose samsung S5P6818 processor,choose CMOS camera,USB interface,and the Linux kernel configuration,installation of QT and opencv operation sequence.3?Using QT framework and opencv library,computer vision for the design of the hardware platform of form a complete set of software development,using the kalman filtering method to predict the vehicle position and tracking,design the interface of the system,and realized the function of traffic statistics and red light detection.Through a large number of experiments show that the accuracy of this system and the processing speed is very ideal,able to work under complicated environment condition.
