With the rapid development of the automobile,it is necessary to develop a more advanced control system,in which a comprehensive understanding of the various information of the tire plays a key role to improve the performance of the auto control system.The tire is a passive component and unable to monitor the various information directly.However,integrated with the most advanced sensor technology,signal disposal,real-time communication and other advanced technology,smart tire could achieve aforementioned function.Supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China,(Project Number: 51575225),a smart tire system was design based on the triaxial accelerometer,hardware circuit system was developed,actual road test based on the smart tire was setted up,the tire force estimation algorithm was studied with the signal extracted from the actual road test.This paper carried out the following tasks,(1)Design of Smart Tire System Based on Triaxial AccelerometerThe designed smart tire system mainly includes a three-axis accelerometer signal acquisition system,a tire force acquisition system and a vehicle chassis CAN signal acquisition system.(2)The Smart Tire Circuit System Hardware and Software DesignFirstly,certain tire power supply and signal conditioning circuit were designed to achieve the wireless communication.Then,hardware and software system of the wireless transmission circuit was built to align the signal and achieve the AD conversion and wireless transmission.Finally,the wireless receiving circuit was designed to achieve the reception and CAN conversion(3)The Real Vehicle Test of the Smart Tire SystemA road test platform was built based on Mircro Auto Box II and multi-dimensional force acquisition equipment,carried out.The road test of the smart tire system was carried out under the typical operating conditions.Thus,primary data was collected.(4)Research for Tire Force Estimation Algorithm Based on Smart Tire Triaxial Acceleration SignalCertain sets of experiments have been performed on real situation,and the response mechanism of triaxial acceleration signal was analyzed.By studying the influence of the tire force on the tire deformation,the characteristics of the smart tire triaxial acceleration signal was extracted.Combined with wheel speed,tire pressure and other factors,these characteristics were evaluated via neural network algorithm to estimate tire force.
