With the development of urban construction,construction of urban rail transit have intensified.The number of residentialareas which affected by therail transit noise pollution is increasing and the problem is becoming seriously in recent years.How to improve the acoustical environment of settlements along the rail has become an important research topic for achieving sustainable development.Meanwhile it is also one of the focus categories of ecological building design.The paper studied the present situation ofrail transit and surrounding residential areas to explore the influence of rail transit noise on residential areas in Beijing first.Then it summed up their formand selected typical samples for research.During the investigation of current situation,the paper combinedthe objective data and subjective evaluation and analyzed the research results.We wanted to find the problem and main influence factors of residential sound environment along the rail transportation for the improvement methods and optimization strategies.The paper provided basic data and a reference opinion to improve the quality of the acoustic environment in residential quarters in Beijing in the future.In the subjective evaluation,the paper collected and analyzed the response of rail traffic noise in different populationsin terms of age,gender,occupational category.At the same time,it observed the differences on the different floor residents.We wanted to learn the influence degree of rail traffic noise on Residents.The paper measured the noise of rail traffic and comparised with related standards.It studied on the propagation law of ground rail traffic noise.Then the paper summarized and concluded it in operation status,distance,frequency and time.After that it proposed corresponding optimization measures and combined with examples.
