As for an ancient dam type,earth-rockfill dam has been used as a dam type optimum selection because of its features of convenience of the drawing material,simple structure and stressing definite.Although there is a plenty of water source in South-western China,the earthquake of these area frequently occurred,which presents adverse effects on the building and operation of high earth-rock dam.With the economic development and the high electric demand,high earth-rock dam leads the main trend of dam type.Despite the study on dynamic reaction of earth-rock dam is gradually becoming mature,the date of acceleration amplification,dam settlement and permanent displacement based on the study is very essential for the research of deformation and stability of high earth-rock damin meizoseismal area.Basing on above background,this research is supported by the National Science Foundation of China "Dynamic Analysis of High Earth-rollfill Dam based on Generalized Plastic Model"(5140090546).This paper simulates a triaxial test to compare the generalized plastic model developed in the above project with constitutive model that comes with the FLAC3 D software.By this Comparing results,the generalized plastic model is applicated.In this paper the method of dynamic analysis of high earth-rockfill dam based on generalized plastic model is built,and some working conditions about dynamic responses under severe earthquake were studied.Concrete work is as follows:(1)This paper firstly introduces the FLAC3 Dsoftware.Base on a user-defined function in the software and generalized plastic model accounting to generalized plastic theory,a series of simulation example of triaxial test are designed compared with constitutive model that comes with the FLAC3 Dsoftware,which bears witness to generalized plastic model's applicability.(2)Aiming at actual instance of high 250 m of earth-rockfill dam in In construction and water storage period,this paper applies the method of dynamic analysis,using generalized plastic model,to research its deformation under earthquake loads.The results showed that this method can analyze its deformation under earthquake loads accurately,and the deformation of the dam during the construction period is basically the same as that of the dam during the water storage period.Due to the existence of water pressure,deformation tends to movedownstream.Vertical settlement,due to the influence of the buoyancy of water,tends to move upwards.The value of displacement is relatively large at the crest.(3)In order to comprehensively and systematically study and analyze the dynamic response of high earth-rockfill dam under strong earthquake,this paper compares the acceleration magnification,dam settlement and permanent displacement of high earth dam by designing different working conditions(different dam height,different dam slope,different peak acceleration,etc.)The results show that with higher dam,steeper slope,the greater the peak of acceleration,the displacement will become larger.Especially,the upper part of the dam deformation values within the range of 1/5 is the main area of protection and reinforcement because of the larger value of that area deformation.
