The safe operation of the power system can be closely related with grounding system.Grounding network optimization design is not only an important part of the study on grounding,but also has the vital significance for docking system design.In this paper,ignoring some unimportant factors,a new optimization model to design grounding grids in electrical substations is proposed through analysis and assumptions.Using the multi-objective optimization problem on the math instead of grounding network design problems,and simplified the model,the calculation method of grounding parameters are discussed in detail.And found to be both safe and save the investment of grounding network design on the premise of security.Based on the Guo-maocheng substation as an example,using two methods,arrangement equally spaced and arrangement unequally spaced,to design the grounding network,and corresponding reference design method is given.Through the comparison and analysis,The results show that:compared to arrangement equally spaced,arrangement unequally spaced not only improve the ground potential distribution,but also economy.And calculate the grounding resistance of Feng-huangshan substation using CDEGS software,eventually adopt the arrangement unequally spaced,and add 8×40 meter deep wells to play around the grounding network,the results meet the requirements.
