With the rapid development of the ship industry, ship with low noise is the trend in future and electrical equipment is one of the main vibration sources in mechanical auxiliary system, therefore, it is very important to carry out research on vibration and noise reduction of electromechanical equipment.In this paper, starting from the vibration source of the equipment, the most effective way for vibration and noise reduction, a pump was researched and the flow field structure of it was improved under the precondition of satisfying the installation structure. It provides a useful reference for electromechanical equipment design with low noise. The main studies are as follows:Based on the appropriate flow field boundary conditions and other sets, the flow field of pump model was calculated respectively with fluid-structure interaction and traditional methods and analyzed the calculation results. Then a suitable calculation method was chosen.According to the calculation method selected, the flow field was calculated and the steady,unsteady and impeller forces were analyzed to propose the shortage of the flow field and give suggestions for improvement.In accordance with the ship installed requirements, side-mount installation centrifugal pump needed to be changed into vertical installation. Then two forms of vibration system dynamic model were studied and analyzed their advantages, disadvantages and applicability.Ensuring the pump's other structures unchanged except its installations, a structural design which both met the vibration noise requirements and installation was proposed basing on the noise and vibration assessment indicators.In order to avoid structural resonance, the overall modal of the model was calculated.Then the pump flow field calculation was done and analyzed. By compared with the original model from steady-state, non-steady-state and impeller force aspects, the effect of improving was determined.The noise and vibration for the prototype pump was tested and the results gained were compared with the forecast ones, a comprehensive method for predicting the flow field induced vibration was put forward by analyzing the causes of error. Then the pump vibration responses of two installation forms were compared to further determine the improvement of the changed flow field.Finally, the effect of blade number on induced vibration of the centrifugal pump flow field was researched. Centrifugal pumps with different blades were designed, analyzed from both simulation and experiment and explained their advantages and disadvantages.
