| China has a lot of rivers, making the advantageous natural conditions to develop inland water navigation. In recent years, the state has been continuously increasing the construction of inland channels and has published some relevant policy to promote the development of inland water navigation. Inland water navigation will enter into a high tide of development during the 12th Five-Year Plan. This will be a new opportunity to the development of our shipping industry in the face of the downturn of international ship industry. Hign speed is the development tendency of inland vessel in the future.Due to the excellent performance on ship resistance of catamaran in high speed, catamaran occupies an important position in the inland water navigation. The demihull is often very thin, and the peak of catamaran’s wave resistance will be significantly reduced. And because of favorable interference between two demihulls, for high-speed catamaran sailing, the total resistance value is significantly lower than monohull. Therefore, catamaran is easily to achieve higher speed. In this thesis, a inland catamaran is as the thesis’ background. Appling software of computational fluid dynamics (namely Star-CCM+ ) and researching the impact on demihull spacing to ship resistence , I do the following work: Firstly, appling software of three-dimensional modeling (namely CATIA ) on the hull modeling, calculating ship resistence of catamaran and demihull by the Star-CCM + at different speed. The ship model experiment results and numerical simulation results were compared to verify the reliability of software simulation; then the range of speed and spacing is expanded with the software to calculate the resistance of various operating conditions; the resistance curve variation disciplines are analysed and optimal spacing curve are put forward. Finally, the resistance components are calculated with the software and changing tendency of resistance components variation disciplines are analysed. Then the catamaran real ship resistance is predicted based on calculating result. |
