In the process of underwater acoustic communication, the effect which is caused by the effect of multipath of underwater acoustic channel will lead to the distortion of the received signal. Though it is necessary for all of the researchers try their best to find some useful ways in order to reduce the inter symbol interference caused by multipath effects. Three techniques have been used in this paper,including the vector sensor,decision feedback equalizer and time reversal mirror technology. And those technologies could achieve our purpose.This paper is divided into three main parts. The first part is mainly about those reasons which caused the error,and then it also describe the histories and development prospects of those technologies such as vector sensor, decision feedback equalizer and time reversal mirror; So as to the second part, this part introduces the principles, purposes, and results when the three technologies are used in some systems .The application of vector sensor is to improve processing gain of the signal to noise ratio. Decision feedback equalizer, in fact, it is just an adaptive filter whose work is equalize channel and eliminate the impact of the distorted symbols, the emphases lies in the vector algorithm and adaptive decision feedback equalizer combined.This paper is according to two parallel ways, on one hand is single vector inverse decision feedback equalization and on the other hand is about vector matrix inverse decision feedback equalization technique. On the base of the work of single vector, array processing,whose work principle is the channels almost have no correlation with each other, and at the end of the system all received signals are added together on the basis of equal gain combining rule,and it was a predictable reaction that the system could improve the processing gain and reduce the bit error rate (BER).Each chapter of this thesis has carried on the comparison and analysis for cell array and array processing And test results show that vector sensor, decision feedback equalizer and time reversal mirror could reduce the interference among symbols which is caused by multi-path effect, and the performance of array vectors is better than cell vector.
