With the rapid development of the technology,submersible motor has been widely concerned as the important equipment in petroleum mining.In order to improve the performance of motor,the electromagnetic load is usually close to its limit state when the motor is designed.The motor will be burned because of overheating if the motor always runs in the overload and high temperature conditions.The safety and performance of the motor will be seriously affected when the motor works under high temperature condition abidingly.The above factors will be the great potential safety hazard for the complex exploitation environment of the oil field,so it is of great significance to get the accurate calculation of the motor temperature distribution.The specific structure and characteristics of submersible motor is introduced in this dissertation.The thermal network method is adopted for the temperature calculation of the submersible motor.The thermal network model is established by reasonable division of the nodes,and the nodes are divided intensely in the sensitive area in which the temperature may be higher according to the structure of submersible motor.The equivalent thermal resistance in model is calculated with improved empirical formula.The contact thermal resistance is introduced for the equivalent thermal resistance of the two different materials,it can be calculated by the roughness of the contact surface.The triangle heat transfer network is adopted between nodes in the thermal network model.The average temperature of motor is obtained by solving temperature matrix equation of the nodes according to the basic thermodynamic principle.Finally,the experimental analysis of simulation prototype for submersible motor is conducted through the temperature test system.The thermal network method can be verified by the comparison between the test data and the calculated result.The thermal network method is simple,short time-consuming,and easy for embed into software design of the motor and this method will provide a certain basis for the motor temperature prediction.
