With the development and construction of the highway,the asphalt road is favored because of its excellent performance.At the same time,SMA mixture is also widely used in the upper floor of the highway,because it can effectively improve driving comfort,and improve road performance.But with the economic developing and the growing traffi,the existing pavement phenomenon appeared early damage,such as cracking,rutting,etc.,which will not only shorten the life of the road,but also affect driving safety.It was generally believed that the aggregate gradation of the SMA mixture's road has a significant impact on the performance of the road,so many scholars have tried to to analyze and solve these problems from the pespective of the particle size distribution design.The paper against,traditional design methods can not mix voids inside distinctive about them,can not effectively gradation and road linkages with performance deficiencies,proposed SMA-16 mix design method fractal theory.Specific work as follows(1)Design SMA-16 mix and do test of high and low temperature,and water stability;through excellent performance by road grading,establishment of a SMA-16 mixture of road fractal prediction model performance,and through model selection,recommended way out with performance prediction model.(2)Use fractal theory set up a fractal structure model of SMA-16 mixture of conventional volume indicators gap and related models and fractal volume indicators.(3)Initially,the test proposed a coarse and fine aggregate fractal dimension which was satisfied with the requirements of the road performance and the requirement of volume indicators.(4)The text put forward a hybrid based on SMA-16 fractal Design Method.Choose coarse and fine aggregate fractal dimension design grading which meet to road performance and meet the requirements of volume indicators,and use fractal volume prediction models grading to test,use experiment to verify,in order to get a good grading that meet the performance requirements.This paper put forward a design method based on fractal theory SMA-16,which can provide a reference for the SMA-16 mix design and engineering applications.
