Analysis And Design Of A Comprehensive Test Platform For Electric Connector

Electric connector is widely used in electronics,telecommunications and other industries.As a base element,connector can transport and control signal,and it can also connect electronic and electrical equipment.As an important component to connect the system,we require the connector to be able to have a high reliability under a single stress,but also to be able to have a high reliability in a more comprehensive stress.Regarding to the evaluation of the connector’s reliability test,now the existing measurement equipment and testing instruments on the market can only test the individual performance under a single stress.It can’t fully recognize connector’s defects and problems in mechanical,electrical and other practical application.Therefore,there is a great need to design a comprehensive test platform for electric connector.Electric connector test can be divided into mechanical performance testing,electrical performance testing and environment performance testing.This subject do an analysis and design for the mating and un-mating force testing,vibration testing,temperature testing,contact resistance testing and a comprehensive stress testing.This comprehensive test system consists of a computer,data collection and a mechanical test platform.The mechanical structure consists of plug-in module,five-dimensional table,vibrating table and a warm box.Put the test sample on the five-dimensional table.The insertion mechanism is above the five-dimensional table and the vibration table is below it.When we test the mating and un-mating force,the five-dimensional table and the vibration table is isolated and fixed.When we do the vibration test,the five-dimensional table will fall on the vibration table and fixed.The five-dimensional table is placed in the warm box,the warm box can provide a necessary temperature for mating and un-mating test and vibration test.This test platform can do the mating and un-mating force testing,vibration testing and temperature testing alone,and it can also achieve mating and un-mating force testing and contact resistance testing under certain temperature.It can also monitor the contact resistance under vibration and a certain temperature.
