Analysis And Improvement Of Automobile Starter Noise

The starter is one of the important parts of automobile starting system.Through the energy conversion of the storage battery,the engine is driven to work,so that the engine can overcome the resistance to normal operation.Cars began to work the first step is to start,this time all the other components of the car haven't started working yet.And starting an abnormal noise generated in the process,customers will affect the judgment on the overall quality of the car,so we must strictly control the noise of the starter.Starter noise has become the measure of an important indicator of the level of automobile technology,so far,the control problems for it also appears more prominent.The permanent magnet DC type QDY1257A starter as the main research object.Through the reaction and test user tests show that,QDY1257A starter has abnormal noise during the deceleration phase.Analysis of abnormal noise from two aspects:Theory and experiment.Firstly,this paper introduces the research status and noise testing technology in the motor noise,noise testing technology were discussed in detail,and according to the structure characteristics of starter and abnormal noise characteristics determine the abnormal noise experimental analysis method.Secondly,according to the determined experimental analysis method,combined with the structure characteristics of starter,elimination method is used to determine the abnormal noise sources in the starter motor parts,and determined to be abnormal noise reduction stage.According to the structural characteristics of the existing series of products,making the number of different carbon brush,armature is pressed into the prototype of the copper wire slot number,by LMS.Test.Lab noise and vibration acquisition system,to exclude the influence of carbon number of noise,get the relationship between the starter,speed,noise signal,to analyze that starter of abnormal noise in the main frequency,sound pressure level and the order of the inferior characteristics,combined with the structure characteristics of starter we draw relevant conclusions between the abnormal noise and starter rotor slot number.Finally,according to the test results,with the improvement of the program in the customer place to try to install the verification,and through the customer recognition,the problem is solved.Other suggestions for reducing or eliminating the abnormal noise are also presented.
