| This paper was based on the program of "pavement performance and application of modified asphalt used rubber and plastic alloy(TPE)as asphalt modifier",supported by the Cooperation Research Project of Ministry of Transport.In this paper,general performance and the pavement performance of TPE modified asphalt with different formulas were studied and be compared with SBS modified asphalt.The main research are in the following:Performance of TPE modified asphalt with different formulas were compared with the base asphalt and SBS modified asphalt,The result is that TPE as asphalt modifier can obviously improve the high temperature property of asphalt,but low temperature performance was influenced.Plastic proportion in TPE should less than 45 percentages to ensure the better high temperature performance and low temperature performance of TPE modified asphalt.Performance of TPE modified asphalt with different formulas were also compared with the base asphalt and SBS modified asphalt based on SHRP index.Then we can conclude that TPE can significantly enhance high temperature performance of modified asphalt,and with the increasing of plastic proportion in TPE,high temperature performance of TPE modified asphalt with some particular formulas were even superior to SBS modified asphalt.But TPE has no positive effect on the low temperature performance of asphalt,plastic proportion in TPE was suggested less than 45 to keep the better low temperature performance of modified asphalt.Pavement performance of TPE modified asphalt with different formulas were also compared with the base asphalt and SBS modified asphalt.The result showed that the high temperature performance,water stability performance and low temperature performance of TPE modified asphalt were all better than ordinary asphalt.Especially the high temperature performance,even superior to SBS modified asphalt,while water stability performance and low temperature performance were inferior to SBS modified asphalt a little.In addition,SPT dynamic modulus of asphalt with different types were also researched.Based on the time temperature correspondence,the date was handled with Origin software,then the dynamic modulus Lord curve Sigmoidal model was established,which can provide more accurate parameter for the following design of the asphalt pavement.Also,the economic benefits,environmental benefits,social benefits of TPE were analyzed in this paper.We found that TPE can not only alleviate the pressure of environment and realize the comprehensive utilization of resources,but also realize the low cost. |
