Supercavitation is an effective technology of highspeed underwater vehicle drag reduction. The main principle is that a layer of bubble is formed around the vehicle to separate the vehicle from liquid, to reduce wetted area, then to reduce viscous drag. According to supercavitation theory, cavitator is a key component to form supercavitation. The shapes of cavition and angle of attack have an important influence on shape characteristic and mechanical properties of supercavitation.In this paper, it has been numerical simulated supercavitation flow of highspeed underwater vehicle in different angles of attack, and it has been analyzed the influence on shape characteristic and mechanical properties of supercavitation. A launch test system of highspeed underwater vehicle has been designed in this paper. According to the data from the launch test system,Verification of the accuracy of supercavitation flow numerical simulation has been done. The main contents of this paper:Overview of the development of domestic and international supercavitation technology common turbulence models and summarized their numerical solution methods and analyzed their characteristics, applicability.It established two-dimensional and three-dimensional supercavitation flow model of highspeed underwater vehicle. Comparison with the results of empirical formula,three-dimensional simulation solver of Fluent was confirmed more accurate.It was numerical simulated supercavitation flow of highspeed underwater vehicle in different angles of attack of cavitator with Fluent and analyzed the influence of the angle of attack on shape characteristic and mechanical properties of supercavitation.The pool, launcher were designed and a launch test was done. Comparison with the results of launch test, numerical simulation of supercavitation flow was confirmed accurate.
