Base on the development of modern science and technology,people shift their interests to oceanic technology.Real-time image sonar has became an important technological means of monitoring seafloor.Real-time image sonar often use FFT beam forming to image because of its litter calculated amount and faster speed.This paper researches the FFT beam forming imaging sonar and designs a target calculating model which based on the demand of the imaging sonar system at the tail of stinger.At the same time,this paper also devises a display and control software of imaging sonar at the tail of stinger on the Labwindows/CVI platform.Firstly,this paper studies the basic theory of FFT beam forming,and simulates it on matlab. It also sets up the model of imaging sonar system at the tail of stinger and builds the target calculating model and simulate it on matlab. Its result proves the model could be uesd normally. Secondly,the paper uses Labwindows/CVI as the developing platform ,designs and implements the display and control software of imaging sonar at the tail of stinger .The software is able to handle the available data and gets 3D location information of an under-water target by the imaging sonar obtained previously.This paper demand analyzes the functionalities which the software needed,and relies on demand analysis to divide software modules.It also provide captions to each function module.According to these functions,the module can be implemented by main interface and assistant interface.Through the human-computer interaction interface,users can straightforward master informations about the software and control over the entire system information.This paper also researches the multi-thread technology and explains concrete implementation of each module because of multi-thread technology.Finally,the paper verify function and performance of the software by testing the software.According to the test results, the display and control software of imaging sonar at the tail of stinger has reached the expected result and realized its function.It is also considered that the software has achieved demand of project.
