Doppler Velocity Log (DVL) is a precise and widespread used navigation equipment in ships and submarines used for calculating speed and range. The high cost, complex operation,much work in the test restricted the development of DVL in the actual experiment. By using the software of LabWindows/CVI, NI PCI-6733 card and NI PCI-6133 card, this Thesis design a DVL test platform Include the software of DVL tester,board tester and Controller Area Network (CAN) reception for the test of DVL in laboratory.DVL Simulator suffice the testing requirements in laboratory can simulate echo signal then send to DVL with NI PCI-6733 for calculating. By setting the depth, longitudinal, lateral speed, and other parameters of the signal amplitude to generate different analog signals for the bottom and water, then established the processes of design and procedures. The navigation system software can show this Information, we can know the real-time status of DVL,DVL board tester can test the transmitter board, receiver board and digital board of DVL, it can provide test input signal with NI PCI-6733 card and analysis and process the output signal with NI PCI-6133 card. Through the communication with the ship the CAN reception software can get the Information when ship is sailing and analysis the work status of DVL in any time, then we can know the accuracy of the DVL.Finally DVL test platform can work in laboratory through debugging, the indicators can meet the test requirements and also have a high accuracy.
