Steering system is an important part of the car,its performance directly affects the safety of vehicle driving,handling stability and comfort.Since the seventies and eighties,the development of the automotive industry has been steadily forward,led a large number of auto companies and the rise of its associated industries for the future car to the system of continuous innovation and development has laid a good foundation.Car steering system is an important body of the car,both from the driving safety or from the occupant’s safety point of view,the steering system has played a crucial role in the impact.Improving the safety performance of the steering system is a daunting task that we have been.The project comes from the development of the comprehensive performance test bed of the steering system.The project is dedicated to creating a comprehensive performance test platform for steering systems that can be applied to a variety of different steering assemblies.Performance indicators were measured,based on the test based on the development of test database,and can be applied to later academic research.The idea of the paper is as follows:First,a small part of the mechanical structure,hydraulic system and control system of the steering test bed is designed based on the relevant development criteria and test requirements of the steering test bed.The design of the hydraulic system includes the calculation of the total flow of the system,the selection of the hydraulic pump,the selection of the servo valve,and so on.The design of the hydraulic system includes the design of the system,The design of the control system includes the initial construction of the control frame.Then,according to the actual test conditions and requirements,the key components of the test bench of the finite element strength analysis to ensure that the test process,the test bench parts to meet the ultimate conditions of the strength requirements.Secondly,after the test equipment is finished,the rack and pinion steering gear assembly is tested and the relevant test data and curve are obtained.Finally,hardware-in-the-loop simulation system is built with software such as VI-grade,xPC and Simulink,and hardware-in-the-loop test of steering system,and hardware-in-the-loop simulation test is carried out under free driving conditions.
