The disk pile is a new type of concrete pile which is developed on the common concrete filling pile.Compared with the traditional pile,the disk pile is economic and reasonable,not only possess a higher bearing capacity but a smaller settlement,the disk pile also has the advantages of a good prospect of engineering application.The recent research of traditional concrete pile and disk pile on the bearing performance or deformation characteristics is all based on the unsaturated soil,but in practice many buildings based on the saturated soil,in order to avoid excessive settlement of buildings,the common method is to increase the number of piles or the diameter of the traditional piles,although this method can reduce the stress transferd to the soil,the investment increased.While the disk pile can effectively solve this problem,the research on the deformation and bearing characteristics of the disk pile in approximate saturated soil has engineering and economic significance.However the research on the mechanical properties of pile in saturated soil just begins in recent ten years,the theoretical data about the bearing capacity and the surrounding soil pore water pressure of disk pile in saturated soil is fewer,the study on the behavior of traditional piles in saturated the soil mostly stay in theory,so the performance of disk pile is not comprehensive.Based on researches of experts and scholars at home and abroad,the present study,through indoor model tests and the numerical analysis of the finite element software ABAQUS,explored the bearing characteristics of disk pile in approximate saturated soil,The main research contents are as follows:1.On the basis of previous studies,this study systematically analyze the basic failure forms of equal cross section compression pile,the ultimate bearing force,the deformation calculation method of pile and the characteristic of pile side friction resistance.2.The displacement of the disk pile under the corresponding load is recorded through the test,and the different bearing capacities of the traditional pile and the disk pile in the approximate saturated silty and in the approximate saturated sand are analyzed.3.The test indoors designs a set of traditional piles as experiment group and two sets of disk piles with different plate numbers as test groups to analyse the reasons for different bearing capacity of the disk pile with different plate number,explore the law of the bearing capacity of disk pile changes with plate number,meanwhile,the instrument measure the different soil pressure and pore water pressure along with the changing plate number,then to analysis the bearing characteristic of disk pile in approximate saturated silt and sand.4.The study combines with the finite element numerical analysis software,the results of the model test indoors and the simulation test results are compared.Then the feasibility of the finite element model and the rationality of the model test indoors are tested.On this basis,to get a further conclusion about how the ultimate bearing capacity of single plate disk pile changes along with the different water content in soil and the reasonable plate number.
