Smartphone-based Driving Behavior Detection

With the development of technology, the APP's increasing popularity, drivers demand for driving behavior information is also gradually growing. The chief objective of concerned dissertation is to enhance the traffic and vehicle behavior through inserted GPS, sensors and Wi-Fi Direct connectivity in smart phones.To extend further the proposed dissertation addresses the question of how driving sense and behavior meaning is made when it is being scanned and extracting emergence of accuracy of speed, braking, emergency and turns etc: that are united in multimodal function. Drivers have often failed to understand the accuracy and tend to fall pray for wrong doings by overlooking driving privileges from medium.The development and advancement of APP is one of its kind that will pave ways for drivers to obtain optimum knowledge and avoid discrepancies particularly remain known to their hesitations and accuracy ultimately improving their driving senses and behavior change towards safe and smooth on road having less accidental issue arising as they would be packed with knowing regarding their driving and its status.The functionality of APP is user-friendly since in testing phase it is to connect with two equal vehicles through smart phones placed in each vehicle connected with Wi-Fi Direct without using internet connection and APP is interlinked with GPS and sensors like Accelerometer and Gyroscope by the time both vehicles are on road and smartphone APP will establish a connection through Wi-Fi Direct to start and come up with other vehicle tracking including itself wherein speed. Emergency happening, controlling, normal, emergency braking and turns track record will be auto generated and displayed showing the good or bad or dangerous or extremely dangerous driving behavior.Once portal has ended it would allow drivers to understand their shortcomings and help them improve their behavior and driving proper usage of vehicle.The overall impact that will emerge out of APP is facilitation to drivers to acquire knowledge and being updated through APP which will bring them new surge of driving-understanding and helping them to become a sensible driver by adapting good behavior towards their respective driving vehicles which,in result, will also improve road safety.
