It is generally believed that the design of a low tower cable-stayed bridge is a Swiss bridge designer Menn Ganter designed by the Chtistian bridge across the Ganter canyon.The characteristics of this kind of bridge is low pylon,rigid beam and concentrative cable.As a new system of bridge structure,a lot of places are still not perfect.Therefore,to carry out research on mechanical properties of low tower cable-stayed bridge,especially the research on the key parts of reliability has important theoretical significance and practical value.In this paper,the main research work are as follows:(1)The finite element model of a low tower cable-stayed bridge is established,and the geometric non-linearity of the structure under dead load and vehicle load is studied.(2)The load of the vehicle is simplified as the concentrated force queue to be imposed on the main beam,and the dynamic time history function of each node is simulated.Based on the moving time history analysis of vehicle loading,the alternating stress of each group of stay cables is obtained.(3)The reliability of the cable is analyzed by the S—N curve of the cable material,and the fatigue reliability of the cable under the vehicle load is analyzed,and the influence of the vehicle load on the fatigue of the cable is analyzed.
