| The vehicle driving simulator is used to simulate running states of a car and provide a realistic driving experience for the driver. It has been widely employed in automotive research and development, traffic safety, driving training and other fields. The steering wheel force feedback system is an important part of a vehicle driving simulator. It provide an important driving experience -"force sense" for drivers. In this thesis, a steering wheel force feedback system is designed. Main works of the thesis are as following.Firstly, based on force analysis of the vehicle directive wheel, causes of aligning torque is analyzed. A variety of operating conditions of vehicle steering system are considered to select the mathematical model of aligning torque. Then a simulation model for a steering wheel force feedback system is established.Secondly, the overall design of the steering wheel force feedback system is given. Main components of the force feedback system are selected. These components include controller, motor, motor driver and so on. On base of overall design, hardware design and software design are carried out. Circuit design of main modules and related circuit diagrams are given.Host computer software and lower computer software are developed. Finally,a serious of tests are designed to verify the design results. After module testing, the steering wheel force feedback system is integrate into a bus simulator. Several groups of drivers are selected to test it. The test results show that the design is reasonable and feasible, and has good effect. |
