Containment spray pump is the critical equipment of containment spray system in nuclear power plant.It is a high value added product with high technical threshold.Currently,most of the running CSS pump is provided by foreign pump company,and the main solution is several impeller configued in tandem after an inducer.The efficiency of this kind of solution is not able to exceed 75%.With the rising of nuclear power market in China,it shows great significance to develop a new CSS pump with advanced technology and leading performance by local provider.Besides,the subproject which solve the divisional issue could be reserved for the development of other product in the future.Based on the development process of CSS pump,the main works are listed below:1.Briefly introducted the application situation of CSS pump,summarized the research result of similar product which developed both local and abroad.2.Developed a new hydraulic solution which highest efficiency up to 84%,with wide high efficiency range and acceptable NPSH performance.A double suction impeller configured as the first stage,and two single suction impeller were used as the following stages.3.The overall structure designed according to the special requirements of nuclear class pump based on the similar pump structure which is mature applied to meet the product specification.Calculation documents were completed to support the design.4.Buit up 3D model of the whole pump by using Proe,pre-check applied on the virtual prototype.5.Analyzed the whole flow field inside the pump by numerical simulation.Hydraulic design were modified per the CFD result to improve the fluid pattern inside the pump.6.The strength of the pressure boundary and the stability of the rotor system were verified by CAE measure against the worst condition including SSE seismic load combined.7.Product master test plan was set up to conduct all the test items regulated by the design import.Implement a series of test items on the prototype product to verify it meet the requirement of equipment technical specification.Special test rig could be applied on the other similar pump.8.Sum-up the work during the CSS development process,and prospects for future research are also outlined.
