With the advancement of military equipment informationization,more and more countries attach importance to the use of satellite information.In the field of military reconnaissance,the video satellite can observe the fixed place on earth.With this observation method which is of great strategic value,we can be flexible to know the enemy activity.Traditional satellite information application device is usually divided into ground station and Personal Digital Assistant(PDA).The ground station has the disadvantages of large size.The PDA is small but can not get enemy's video information.Based on the analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of the two kinds of devices,we put forward a scheme which combines the vehicle ground station and the storage device.The satellite HD video is a video source for our system.Through the comparative analysis of the code rate and several encoder modes,the H.264 encoder mode is selected.The GE MDS 900 wireless data radio station which uses the H.264 encoder mode send the satellite HD video to the storage device.According to the requirement of compact and portable storage device,the ZYNQ SOC of Xilinx company is selected as the core processor of the storage device in combination with the hardware and software co design concept.Based on the analysis of the timing of the DDR3 controller and display timing of HDMI,the open source IP core of Xilinx is used to build the satellite high-definition video display logic path.In this paper,the porting process of Linux embedded operating system and FFmpeg decoding library is described detail,and the software of satellite video storage and playback is written by QT.In the Linux system,the satellite information storage device receives the satellite HD video from the vehicle ground station through the TCP protocol.After the DDR3 buffer,data stored in the USB interface of the mobile hard disk.When the scouts need to playback the satellite HD video,we use satellite playback software through the HDMI interface to achieve HD satellite video playback.Finally,we completed the design of the satellite information storage device,and build the experiment platform to simulate the device.The experimental results show that the satellite information storage device can be used to receive,store and playback the video.It meets the storage device of portable needs and can quickly and accurately obtain the enemy activity.
