The long-period ground motion mainly included the far-field harmonic ground motions and the near-fault pulsed ground motions.The earthquake disasters of Chi-Chi in TaiWan,Wenchuan in Szechwan and East Japan indicates that these kinds of ground motions had great destructive effects on long-period structures.Analyzing the different of those two types of long-period ground motions,this paper got the results of the parameter and spectral characteristics of ground motion,the dynamic response characteristics of different periodic structures and the damage indexes of super high-level structures.1.Comparatively analyzed characteristics between two types of long-period ground motions and the ordinary ground motions.Compared the peak values,ratio of peak values,duration,Fourier spectrum,Hilbert spectrum and elastic response spectrum of far-field harmonic ground motions,near-fault pulsed ground motions and ordinary ground motions to know the difference of those earthquake.Based on the Hilbert-Huang Transform and the empirical modal decomposition method,this paper recombined the intrinsic modal functions to get the new acceleration time-histories.Then used the new time-histories to distinguish the long-period ground motions and the ordinary earthquake.2.Comparatively researched nonlinear seismic response of structures between two types of long-period ground motions and ordinary earthquake.Established three finite element models by PERFORM-3D software,and analyzed the elastoplastic seismic response of three structures.Then researched the difference of structural response characteristics between the two types of long-period ground motions and ordinary earthquake.And the differences of the dynamic response characteristics of short,medium and long period structures under the effect of the long-period ground motions.3.Analyzed structural damage of super high-level building which is effected by long-period ground motions and ordinary earthquake.Proposed a super high-level building suitable modal damage model which is based on the integral damage analysis.Compared the structural damage characteristics before and after the long-period ground motions and ordinary earthquake with the PERFORM-3D software.Calculated the structural damage index based on the structural modal difference of suffering three types of earthquake.Finally,researched the difference of structural damage index based on the structural modal difference of suffering three types of earthquake,and ensured the relationship between the structural damage index and the different damage degree of the component by regression analysis.Then used the combined damage model of structural deformation and energy to test the damage parameter that we proposed.
