With the development of domestic infrastructure construction, concrete material consumption is increasing.Sand and gravel are nonrenewable resources that get less with the day. Therefore, seeking alternative to sand and grave l is a must for sustainable development. In addition, the rapid development of technology makes the renewal and regeneration of electronic products faster, and a large number of cathode ray tubes(CRT)have been discarded.Cathode ray tube funnel glass contains a lot of lead, which makes it can not be disposed by landfill.Forasmuch as the facts stated, utilizing recycled CRT glass as aggregate in cement-based material is a feasible disposal method of discard CRT glass.Researchers at home and abroad have preliminarily proved the feasibility of using waste CRT glass as aggregate. The existing studies are mainly focuses on the workability, mechanical properties and durability, and few studies have conducted on the damping properties and permeability of cement-based materials prepared with CRT glass. This paper mainly studies the influence of CRT glass dosage,CRT glass particle size and lead leaching on the mechanical, damping and permeability of cement-based materials. The main contents of t his thesis are as following:Experimental study was conducted to investigate the physical and mechanical properties of cement-based materials prepared with recycled CRT glass sand. The main variables were recycled CRT glass content, particle size and whether the recycled CRT glass had pretreated with leaching process.Consistency, hardening density, water absorption, compressive strength and flexural strength of mortar were tested. Moreover, hardening density, water absorption, the cubic compressive strength, splitting tensi le strength, axial compressive strength and static modulus of elasticity of concrete were tested. The effect of recycled CRT glass contents, particle size and leaching process on physical and mechanical properties of mortar and concrete were analyzed. The result showed that water absorption and strength of cement-based materials with recycled CRT glass aggregate decreased.Compared with strength of cement-based materials incorporated with untreated recycled CRT glass aggregate, the strength of that incorporated with pretreated recycled CRT glass aggregate was increased.Experimental study was conducted to investigate the damping properties of mortar prepared with recycled CRT glass sand. The main variables were recycled CRT glass content, particle size and whether the recycled CRT glass had pretreated with leaching process. The dynamic thermomechanical analyzer(DMA)was adopted to measure the loss factor, storage modulus and loss modulus of mortar at different temperatures and frequencies. The effects of recycled CRT glass content, particle size and lead leaching on damping properties of mortar were analyzed. The results showed the loss tangent of mortar with 40% replacement ratio is maximal, and that with 100% replacement ratio is minimal for most cases. The incorporation of recycled CRT glass in the mortar leads reduction of storage modulus, and the storage modulus obtains minimum with 40% replacement ratio. The loss modulus of mortar achieved the maximal value with 80% replacement ratio.Experimental study was conducted to investigate the damping properties of concrete prepared with CRT glass sand. The main variables were recycled CRT glass content, particle size and whether the recycled CRT glass had pretreated with leaching process. The damping properties of concrete were measured by free-vibration attenuation and forced nonresonant method. The effects of recycled CRT glass content, particle size and lead leaching on damping properties of concrete were analyzed. The results showed the loss tangent of concrete decreased with increase of frequency. The loss tangent of concrete achieved the maximal value with 80% replacement ratio. Moreover, the loss tangent of concrete increased constantly with the decrease of maximal particle size of recycled CRT glass aggregate.Experimental study was conducted to investigate the water permeability and strength of pervious concrete prepared with recycled CRT glass sand. The main variables were recycled CRT glass content and particle size.Apparent density, water absorption, porosity, water permeability, cubic compressive strength and flexural strength were tested. The effect of recycled CRT glass content and particle size on the water permeability and strength of pervious concrete were analyzed. The results showed that the permeation coefficient and strength of pervious concrete decreased constantly with increase of replacement ratio. Moreover, when the replacement ratio remains constant, the permeation coefficient decreases with the decrease of particle size of coarse aggrega te,while the compressive strength increases with the decrease of particle of coarse aggregate.
