Research On The Methods To Building The Cultural Atmosphere For The Decoration Of Theme Hotels

With the rapid growth of economy,people have more and more diversified consumption demands and higher requirements for hotel quality.Theme hotels prevail as people focus more on the personalized experiences and spiritual enjoyment produced from hotel services.Since theme hotels are still at an early stage,there exists various problems including lacking cultural atmosphere and superficial cultural atmosphere without cultural connotation.Hence,Focused on the existing problems of theme hotels,the research have produced a systematic design methods after elaborate analyses and study of them,aiming to give references to the presentation of their thematic culture.The research studied on the creation methods of designing cultural atmosphere in the theme hotels by field research,literature reading,theoretical research,and case analysis.To begin with,the research had a profound study in related concepts and basic theoretical knowledge of theme hotels.Combined with field research,the research have summarized many issues existed in design,such as less highlighted theme atmosphere,blind imitation,shortage of characteristics.Besides,through case analysis,the research conclude that theme hotels should consider the city image,regional development planning,consumers’ psychological needs,and hotel competition in targeting the hotel theme.The theme culture of hotels will be presented with clear theme orientation followed by deep digging into the designing elements.The designing elements consist of three steps,analysis and arrangement,refining and integration,and generalization and application.Then the research discuss how to create cultural atmosphere of theme hotels from perspective of designing building exterior,landscape and interior space separately.Finally,the research summarize the function of designing cultural atmosphere in theme hotels,and state the future trends of designing theme hotels.Project study on the methods of creating cultural atmosphere in theme hotels aims to further improve the existing theories,and provide practical suggestions to theme hotel designing.
