Hydraulic shock absorber is widely used in modern vehicles,which has a very important influence on the vehicle ride comfort.With the rapid development of computer and simulation technology,the traditional method of shock absorber design which is mainly based on the experience and testing modification has been replaced by the modeling and calculating method,which can shorten development cycle and accurately predict the dynamic characteristics of the shock absorber at the design stage.The modern design method of the shock absorber using finite element software is of great significance to the development of high performance shock absorber.In this paper,the dynamic characteristics of a new type of semi-active hydraulic shock absorber are studied by using the fluid-structure interaction software ADINA.The main study contents are listed as follows:1.The structure and principle of the semi-active hydraulic shock absorber are studied in detail.The composition of the damping force of the shock absorber is analyzed,which contributes to the establishment of the mathematical model.Based on the calculation of the mathematical model,the theoretical performance curve of the shock absorber is obtained,all of which lays the foundation for the subsequent test and simulation analysis.2.Through the bench test,the dynamic characteristics of the shock absorber under different working conditions are obtained.On one hand,it can be used to evaluate the performance of shock absorber.On the other hand,it can provide practical reference for the subsequent simulation analysis.Meanwhile,the variation law of the oil viscosity and damping characteristics with the temperature is studied.3.Based on the theory and method of fluid-structure coupling finite element analysis,the finite element model of the shock absorber is established by the software ADINA.The dynamic characteristics of the shock absorber are calculated and compared with the results of the bench test,which validates the modeling method and calculation method.Meanwhile,the pressure field,velocity field distribution and oil flow of the shock absorber are analyzed in detail.4.The detailed analysis of the influencing factors on damping force is carried out,and the influence trend of main factors is also analyzed by orthogonal test design.According to the target requirements of damping force,the main parameters of the shock absorber are optimized by the response surface method,which provides theoretical support for the parameter analysis and optimization design of the shock absorber.
