The vibration energy is very common in the environment, so the technology of vibration energy collection has been paid more and more attention to the researchers. It's very important to study the bistable power generation system and the nonlinear vibration absorber.The bistable electromagnetic energy capture system has been taken as a nonlinear vibration absorber in this paper. The dynamic characteristics of the nonlinear vibration absorber have been studied by complicated nonlinear dynamics theory and numerical simulation. The main contents are:The dynamic equations of the system were established under harmonic excitation. Stability of system was studied by using Routh-Hurwitz criterion. In this paper, the ingluence of excitation frequency and excitation amplitude on the bifurcation of the system, and the structural parameters on the performance of the absorber are studied by means of numerical simulation. It is shown that the bistable absorber system exhibits two stable equilibrium points(potential well) and an unstable equilibrium point (barrier). It is found that the nonlinear vibration in low frequency can across the barrier and occur chaotic motion. If there is a change on the excitation amplitude,the movement of bistable system would be a sharp change. Through the gradual optimization of the parameters of the system, the amplitude of the main system is gradually reduced at resonance, and while the amplitude of the absorber is larger when the amplitude of the main system is low at non-resonance.The dynamic characteristics of the system are studied under random excitation. Influence law on the vibration attenuation and power generation of the noise intensity, the initial value of the system and the system parameters under the excitation of Gauss white noise and colored noise are analyzed. When the noise intensity is very small, the vibration absorber happens small motion near an equilibrium point. With the increase of the noise strength, the number that the absoeber started across the barrier trap and occur a chaotic motion increases, and there would be more power generation. With the gradual optimization of the parameters, the output power of the vibration absorber increased while the vibration energy and amplitude of the main system has decreased.The nonlinear damping is introduced into the bistable electromagnetic vibration energy capture device. It was compared the nonlinear damping and linear damping on vibration reduction. The effect of the dynamic characteristics, vibration energy and average output power of system was analysed. It is concluded that the damping effect of the bistable absorber with nonlinear damping is better, and the nonlinear damping coefficient has an influence on the vibration energy of the main system and the absorber.
