Due to the advantages of high energy conversion efficiency,environmental friendliness and fuel adaptability,solid oxide fuel cell?SOFC?as a new energy technology has received great attention.Symmetrical electrode material as a result of the same material as the anode and anode SOFC material,not only can overcome sulfur poisoning and carbon deposition can also be reduced to some extent,the composition of the battery components,making the preparation process more simple and reduce the sintering process,Greatly reducing the production cost of the battery.In this paper,PrBaFe2O5+??PBFO?material was prepared by sol-gel method,and its feasibility as SOFC symmetric electrode was systematically studied.The main results are: the single pure phase structure can be obtained after sintering at 1100 ? for 10 h in air.The conductivity of PBFO is 25 and 3.25 S/cm in H2 and atmosphere at 850 ?,respectively.The maximum output power density of themonocellusing H2 as fuel is 618 mW/cm2 at 850 oC,and its maximum output power densityusing CH4 as fuelis 304 mW/cm2 at 900 oC.Due to the integration ofgoodelectricityperformance andelectrochemical performance,This PBFO is expected to become a new type of SOFC symmetrical electrode material.The PBFO composites of Sm0.2Ce0.8O1.9?SDC?impregnated and Co-Fe impregnated was prepared usingchemical impregnation method to further improve the cell performance of the PBFO symmetric electrode material in CH4 fuel.The main results are:The ionic conductivity of the material was enhanceddue to the introduction of SDC,which resulting in an increase of the three-phase interface,reducing the electrochemical impedance of the interface and improving the output performance of the battery.The sampleshowed the best performance by being immersed three times.The maximum output power of the battery using H2 as fuel is 1170 mW/cm2 at 850 oC,andits maximum output power of using CH4 as fuel is 380 mW/cm2 at 900 oC,which is 89% and 73% higher than that before impregnation,respectively.Due tothe introduction of Co-Fe composite particles,the electronic conductivity of the anode was enhanced and the interface impedance value was reduced,which also improves the output performance of battery.which immersed four times The best performance ofsample can be obtained by being immersed four times,the maximum output power ofbattery using H2 as fuel at 850 oC can reach 1496 mW/cm2,andits maximum output power usingCH4 as fuel at 900 oC is 379 mW/cm2,which is 142% and 73% higher than that before impregnation.In summary,PBFO and impregnated composites not only show good performance in H2,but also have good battery output performance in CH4.This result indicatethat the material can be used as a novel SOFC symmetrical electrode material.
