Large span space structures in the form of reticulated shells have been developed rapidly in recent decades,for its excellent mechanical behavior and elegant profile.Frequent earthquake occurs in our country recently.Especially in the 2013 Lushan earthquake,the earthquake damage to reticulated shells was serious,which made scholars refocus attentions on the aseismic behavior of space structures.The actual earthquake damage has already shown that the aseismic behavior of space structures can't guarantee to maintain their own function at meizoseismal area.It's urgently necessary to make new measures to improve aseismic behavior of space structure.Structural vibration control is composed of structure and control system.They work cooperatively to consume seismic energy and alleviate structural deformation,becoming a new research point.Based on this background,this paper carried out a series of experiments and numerical analysis to study the seismic isolation performance of TISS(the Three-dimensional Isolation Spring Support).Some essential data and recommendations for design of TISS in the practical engineering are provided.The main conclusions of this paper are summarized as follows:1.Seismic isolation comparison tests on single-layer reticultated domeScale model of reticulated shells was designed and constructed.The earthquake load on the model is selected representatively.Through analysis of the experimental phenomena and data,the seismic isolation performance of TISS was examined concisely.The results of test show: the isolation effect of TISS is remarkable.TISS can effectively reduce the acceleration of joint and inner force of member.2.Study on the finite element model of TISS and reticulated shellsBased on the static test,this paper analyzes mechanical behavior of TISS and proposes a simplified model.Using the simplified model reconstructs the comparison test.Simulation results coincide with the experimental results.The maximum error is less than 15%.The validity of the model is proved,which laid the foundations for parameter analysis of TISS.3.Seismic isolation performance analysis of reticulated shells using TISSBased on the simplified model,this paper analyzes the seismic isolation performance of reticulated shells using TISS.The finite element of reticulated shells is established by Abaqus.The simplified model of TISS was coupled with the boundary condition.The influences on the seismic isolation performance of TISS with different corresponding parameters are analyzed.The results show: Friction plays an important role in the mechanical behavior of TISS,which change the isolation effect in different seismic intensities.There is a non-linear relationship between isolation effect and support stiffness.TISS can work at full capacity under severe earthquake.Concerning influence of initial imperfection for reticultated dome,TISS also has good isolation effects.
