The performance of air turbine rocket engine as a turbine based combined cycle engines,it can realize variable cycle operation.Aiming at the performance limitations of the expanded air turbo rocket engine cycle of the compressor outlet temperature limit and turbine entrance temperature limit conditions,the performance advantage of air turbo rocket precooling cycle is well represented.The addition of air pre cooler improves the compressor operating environment,extends the engine flight envelope,and improves the performance of the original air turbine rocket engine.But the pre cooling cycle air turbo rocket engine is still gas outlet temperature and pressure of turbine entrance temperature limitations,therefore we hope to further improve the thermal performance of pre-cooling cycle air turbo rocket engine.Improvement of the performance of the engine can be considered from the perspective of improving circulation,gas turbine model mode put forward many improved properties by improving circulation,such as reheat cycle gas turbine,intercooled cycle gas turbine,recuperated gas turbine,gas turbine and other complex circulation.In order to further improve the performance of the pre-cooling air turbine rocket engine,a new cycle configuration of an air turbine rocket engine was designed with reference to the new cycle optimization method of t he gas turbine.This paper first establishes the expansion cycle of air turbo rocket engine(ATREX)and pre-cooling ATREX engine thermodynamic cycle model,and to study the characteristics of thermal performance of the traditional ATREX engine,the main influence factors and analyze the performance of the performance limitations of reason.In the grasp of the basic features of air turbo rocket engine,aiming at the limitation of the performance,design the reheat cycle ATREX engine,ATREX engine and inter-cooled cycle reheat-intercooled cycle ATREX engine,which ATREX engine reheat cycle according to the heat transfer at different positions are designed respectively in the pre cooler heat again,in the office the combustion chamber wall and heat in nozzle wall and heat transfer of three kinds of configuration of cycle reheat cycle ATREX engine.All kinds of cycle engine configuration thermodynamic models are established in this paper,and analyzes the performance characteristics of each configuration cycle,and its performance advantages relative to the pre cooling of the ATREX engine,ATREX engine to determine the pre cooling cycle design model can play to optimize the thermal performance of ATREX engine cooling effect.
