The Application Researches Of Local Materials In New-type Urbanization

With the development of globalization,the urban constructions are the similar.The urban and rural ecological environment problems become more and more prominent.The state puts forward the new-type urbanization policy guided by the development idea of innovation,coordination,green,opening and sharing.With the sustainable development,pay attention to the protection and inheritance of regional characteristics and national cultures,which provides opportunities and challenges to the application of local materials.In the past,local materials used in buildings which are civil spontaneous construction.The buildings made of folk local materials are influenced by local nature,society,economy etc.They are regional,low-tech,low-cost and so on.Although contemporary architects have re-recognized the importance of local materials,systematic research on the application of local materials is limited.In particular,there is a lack of guiding principles for the rational application of local materials in new-type urbanization.In this paper,through the theoretical research,case analysis,practice and other research methods,the concept of local materials and features are developed,meanwhile summarizing their applications in the contemporary architecture.Finally,the innovative expression and application principle of local materials in the new-type urbanization were presented.This paper summarizes the aesthetic characteristics of local materials from three aspects: naturalness,craftsmanship and intentionality,and summarizes its ecological characteristics from the four aspects,namely rationality,low energy consumption,recyclability and economy.Moreover,the construction technology of local materials are concluded from traditional structural system and building technique.After deeply analyzing the characteristics of local materials,four representative local materials of bamboo,wood,brick and stone are selected,and their manifestation in structure,surface and decoration are expounded systematically in contemporary architecture.Through the collection,comparison n and analysis of the building cases,it is put forward that the innovative application of the local materials could start from the three levels of ideology,aesthetics and technology.After having some theoretical support,the research results will be put into the virtual residential reconstruction,which is located in Tangquan town,Jiangbei New District,in order to test the correctness,integrity and feasibility of the theory at this stage.Finally,it is concluded that in the future new-type urbanization construction,the extension of the concept of local materials should be further extended,and the regional culture and place spirit would be continued in form of signs.Furthermore,the usage of composite local materials,innovative materials combination mode,ecological initiative as well as adopting appropriate technology contribute to integrate tradition and modern into current local materials construction.This paper,via the theory of practice and the use of multidisciplinary integrated research method,elaborates the value of local materials in the new-type urbanization.The proposed application principles of local materials have an important role in promoting the future sustainable town construction of regional characteristics,providing the reference to the future deeper excavation of local materials’ contemporary value.
