As an important metal plastic forming technology,stamping is widely used on automobile,shipping,aircraft,et al.With the rapid development of computer technique and the finite element method,lots of CAE commercial softwares are emerged in the market.As so far,the researches on the forming process of automotive stamping parts mainly rely on the FE simulation.However,the drawback and limitations of FE simulation emerge with its further applications gradually.There are three main flaws in metal forming,cracks,wrinkles and springback.The former two flaws can be predicted,controlled and solved effectively,while the precision of predicted springback are not high enough to guide the practical production.Currently,as the environment problem become much severe and the demand for energy saving and emission reduction raised,the car body lightweightening technology emerges.A large amount of lightweight materials are used more and more widely on the automotive stamping parts,among which aluminium stands out as its better ductility and plasticity,lower density,greater maximum reduction and higher strength.Especially for the Al6061,many automobile manufacturers around the world start applied them to the covering parts,reducing the weight and improve the fuel efficiency remarkably.Yet the disadvantages of aluminium are also significant.Compared with the traditional metal,like steel,the springback of aluminium is much greater,and there is little theoretical guidance.All of these make the simulation of forming process and prediction of springback of aluminium much more difficult and the results are usually not reliable.Therefore,it is of great importance to analyze the precision of predictive springback for the material of aluminium.Flanging is a necessary forming process for automotive stamping parts to satisfy the demand of welding and assembling.If the predictive springback after flanging is not reliable,there would be a tremendous waste of time and money during the design of moulds and practical production.This paper is aimed at the precision of predictive springback based on the material of Al6061,including investigating into the influence of number of integration,virtual velocities,element equations and mesh size on the predictive springback value,studying the influence mechanism,and establishing a more accurate FE model to simulate for flanging to guide the practical production.
