From The Practice Of The Diamond City In Urumqi To Discuss The Design Strategy Of The Central Business District

The central business district(CBD)is the densest area in the city for official activities,business activities and commercial activities,as well as the most intuitive and highlighted area showing the city’s image.With the development of the central business district,the scale and the construction amount of the CBD increases gradually.The function layout of the CBD is versatiled and compounded and the traffic organization appears three-dimensional.The space form also draws more concerns in the uniqueness and continuity.Considering the relationships of all aspects involved in the CBD is relatively complex and the content included is more diverse,the central business district urban design should base on the overall situations and acquire the forming and the relationships among the elements of cities.Only the urban design based on this will could be the central business district of the present city more clearly and complete.It is necessary to study on the urban design of the central business district.The urban design of the central business district discussed in this article focuses on the land and the use of space in physical level.It integrates urban planning,urban design and related building design method and combines the features of the activity and development of the central business district in order to achieve the following objectives: The first one is to comb the development history excellent construction cases of the central business district and sums up the development trend of the central business district in the future;The second one is to determine the positioning,development capacity and development mode of the central business through the preparation of the central business district the urban design;The third one is to build frame of the central business district urban design on the basis of preparation,divide urban design elements and puts forward the urban design strategy aiming at the function layout,traffic organization and the space form;The fourth one is to explain the use methods of various aspects and elements according to the Urumqi diamond city central business district project briefly and provide a reference and inspiration for other central business district urban design.The whole content of this paper was divided into four parts:The first part is the concept and basic research(Chapter 1,Chapter 2).The first chapter is introduction.This chapter put forward to the object of this study,analyzes the significance of the study according to research background,makes a brief introduction to the research results at home and abroad and points out the research framework of this paper.The second chapter is the research foundation of the the central business district urban design.It illustrates the concept and the construction characteristics of the central business district,summarizes the development of the central business district during a century time which is divided into four generation,studies five good cases of the central business district at home and abroad which have inspiration to others,and finally summarizes the development trend of the central business district.The second part,that is the third chapter,is about building the urban design system.Firstly,it elaborates the preparation of city’s central business district,which should consider the forming condition,system,location selection,positioning,development capacity forecasting,development model selection of the central business district and the relationship between the city cultural characteristics.The author establishes system of the central business district urban design and clarifies the design principle of the central business district according to the diamond city central business district practice and his professional background.It lays the research foundations for the third part.The third part,that is the fourth chapter,is about the designing scheme for diamond city’s central business district in Urumqi city.First expounds the preparation of diamond in urumqi city’s central business district(CBD),analyses its preparation need to consider the central business district of the forming condition,systematic,location selection,positioning,development capacity forecasting model,choice of development pattern and the relationship between the central business district and city cultural characteristics,and other factors;And then to the diamond city’s central business district the most concerned about function of the urban design layout,traffic organization and spatial form three focuses on analyzing the contents of and put forward the corresponding urban design strategies respectively the optimization function layout,traffic organization and reshape the space form,the various strategies and detailed division of the design of the specific countermeasures.The fourth part is the specific content of urban design(Chapter 5,Chapter 6 and Chapter 7).The fourth chapter is the function layout,focusing on many elements such as the function scope,block size,the multivariate functions,the ratio of each function and life function of the central business district.It establishes the function layout system of the central business district combined with the selected elements.The fifth chapter is the traffic organization of the central business district.It build the traffic organization system of the central business district by selecting four elements of wagon flow,pedestrian area,parking space and stereoscopic slow system.The sixth chapter is about the space form of the central business district.It selects the two categories of construction entities and open incorporeal space.Futhermore,it divides and clarifies all the elements of the space form on this basis.For instance,the building forms divide into skyline,construction form and combination relationship,building roof and landmark buildings elements.Finally,the space form system of the central business district is established based on the categories and elements.All subsystem above are illustrated combined with the Urumqi diamond city central business district practice respectively.The fifth part,that is the eighth chapter,is the summary and discussion,which summarizes the paper,put forward the main conclusion points and the deficiencies of this study,and points out the discussing direction for further research.
