In recent years, with the rapid development of aerospace, demand of material of the lightweight, ablative and thermal protection performance is increasingly high.Phenolic resin impregnated porous carbon fiber ablative composite material(PICA)as a good thermal protection material, with low density, good heat shield and rigid characteristics,is one of the world's development of aerospace heat shield materials industry.Phenolic resin impregnated porous carbon fiber ablation composite(PICA)under the heat flow and other external conditions will produce the complex chemical, thermal, physical phenomena, involving the decomposition of materials, melting, sublimation and so on.Therefore,it is necessary to study the ablation mechanism and the reaction about this material, and establish the finite element model of this material, and analyze the ablation behavior of the material, which is of great significance to the selection of suitable materials and structures.Firstly, the ablation experiments are carried out on the porous carbon fiber ablation composite impregnated with phenolic resin(PICA).The heat fluxes are 2Mw/m2 and 6Mw/m2 respectively. The experiment results show that the ablation rate, the quality of ablation rate and the temperature in different locations, and obtain the material changes in macroscopic and microscopic appearance respectively,so as to pave the way for the next step simulation analysis.Secondly, based on the ablation experiments of porous carbon fiber ablation composite impregnated with phenolic resin(PICA),the same three-dimensional finite element model is established. The finite element software LMS SAMCEF is used to simulate the ablation of this material in different heat flow behavior, and the results of the experiment compared with the simulation analysis,in order to verify the accuracy of the model and the rationality of the material parameters and for the follow-up return cabin simulation. Finally, based on the experiment and simulation, the LMS SAMCEF software is used to simulate the chemical ablation of the two-dimensional structure under the heat flow. The temperature field and displacement field of the material under the heat flow are obtained.Permeability, specific heat capacity and thermal conductivity which affect PICA are analyzed.
