The plane steel truss has been widely applied in various industrial buildings and civil constructions,due to its excellent properties,such as simple form of structure,clear path for force transfering,as well as lightweight and high strength.There are lots of domestic and foreign scholars studying on this research,mainly including the joint behavior and overall stability of truss.It is the joint that connects each component to form a truss,and meanwhile the support joint is the bridge of this truss and other structures,which indicates the vital effects on the connection of steel truss.In addition,the stability is also important for truss,because stability errors are likely to cause the collapse of the whole structure.According to the research of previous scholars,there will be a intensive study on these truss performances,and details are as follows.Firstly,it is the rotation capacity of support joints,including the bolted connection and the welded ones.The elaborate simulation of support joints is developed by means of the solid element of finite element software ABAQUS,aimed to analyse the influence of truss end plate,depth-span ratio,coupling bolts,ribbed plate and weld size on the joint rotation.what's more,the calculation formula of the intital rotation stiffness on support joints has been put forward,especially under the condition of the same configuration.Secondly,it is the overall stability of truss.The influence of joints ' rotational stiffness on overall stability of the truss has been analyzed,based on the first part.Three different situations are considered,consisting of truss chord in vertical web,truss chord in horizontal web and strengthened compression chord section.Through the comparison and analysis of these three conditions,their different influence rule on truss overall stability has been found out.Finally,in order to find the relationship between the rotational stiffness and overall stability coefficient of plane steel truss,a further analysis of model results is made in this part.Furthermore,after revising the existing formula of truss overall stability coefficient,a correction formula within bearing stiffness and truss slenderness ratio is reached.
