Buckling-Restrained Braces(BRB)is a new type of brace that has a good energy dissipation ability?Comparing to the traditional brace,it is a complementarity which could not be buckling under the compression.Buckling-Restrained Brace is mainly used for the reinforcement of the structure. Now in the new building,BRB has been widely used.Based on domestic and foreign research, this paper makes two cross frame of three layers. The BRB is installed and not installed in the frame and using pseudo static loading to comparing the two schemes.Making a further research on the framework aseismic behavior indexes such as bearing capacity, stiffness degradation, ductility and energy dissipation capacity,The results show that:The framework of BRB has good seismic performance, and is obviously higher than that of the not reinforced frame.BRB has good energy dissipation capacity and the hysteretic curve is full, and energy dissipation capacity is 2-3 times of the not installation support frame; The frame joints where the buckling restrained brace installed have a concentrated force.Framework produces more cracks. But when buckling restrained brace is yielding, the effect is no longer obvious. The bearing capacity of the frame which installed BRB is improving, and the yield load and ultimate load increase to 2times.In this paper,Finite element analysis of test frame using sap2000 is carried, and using time history analysis method research experiment frame. The results show: The buckling restrained brace can reduce the displacement, inter story drift angle and the shear force of the layer, but the axial force of the column increases. It needs to consider in the design, and appropriate to strengthen the bearing capacity of the column. In this paper, the seismic performance of the frame structure can be improved by combining the engineering practice.
