At present,most of the researches on elastohydrodynamic lubrication(EHL)and mechanical properties of bearing are independent.Though the numerical analysis of EHL can predict the lubrication performance of contact pair accurately,but the research is limited to a single point contact or line contact,it rarely consider the dimensional parameters,dynamics and operating conditions.Spinning is the typical characteristic of angular contact ball bearings,with increased spinning velocity,the minimum film thickness(MFT)will decrease,and the temperature will rise,but the past studies of elastohydrodynamic lubrication of bearings seldom consider this point.Based on this,in order to predict the lubrication performance of aviation high speed rolling bearings more accurately,mechanical characteristic analysis model and thermal elastohydrodynamic lubrication(TEHL)analysis model considering spin are combined together in this paper,which will lay a certain theoretical foundation for the judgment of lubrication performance and structure design and optimization of rolling bearings.Firstly,the pseudo static model considering the effect of oil-film is established,Based on the Newton-Raphson method,the force balance equations of rolling bearing is solved by using the idea of“local to global”.Then obtained results are compared with that of the pseudo dynamic model to verify the correctness and effectiveness of the program.Secondly,TEHL model considering spinning,rolling and sliding effect is established,the multigrid method is used to solve the pressure,the multiple grid integration method is used to solve the elastic deformation and the temperature is solved by the stepwise scanning method.Then he effects of load,sliding ratio and spinning velocity on lubrication performance of contact pair were discussed.Finally,an integrated numerical algorithm which combined with pseudo static model and TEHL model is applied to predict the lubrication performance of rolling bearings.Based on this method,the effects of thermal and spin characteristics on the MFT,the spin effect on the maximum temperature rising of the rolling bearings are studied.Then the influence of working conditions,structure parameters and lubricant viscosity on bearing lubrication was studied.
